Q: What do we install?
Larger trees and smaller trees. Evergreens, deciduous trees, saplings, large and small shrubs.
We can install many different varieties of trees and plants to your specification. We prefer to install species native to Pennsylvania for optimal growth and survivability. They have a better chance to thrive in our soil and with our seasonal weather patterns. We also prefer to plant those varieties that are congruous with the ever-warming climate, and the shifting planting zones.
Q: Where do we get our trees?
We like to use private Pennsylvania nurseries, not big corporate facilities. Private nurseries take particular care to raise and nurture saplings very conscientiously. This better ensures you are getting a healthy, hearty specimen. Pennsylvania nurseries also tend to specialize in trees indigenous to the area.
Q: When should we think about planting?
Spring is best. The ground is moist, there is regular rain usually, it’s generally cooler. Young trees can take root more easily – before the heat of summer.
Fall is also a very good time for planting, because the ground begins to cool off from the heat, and the conditions will be easier on the newly installed specimen. Winter snow and Winter’s dormancy will help preserve the tree/ plant until the spring thaw, and it will be well rooted, somewhat established, and ready to begin sprouting.
Summer is a time to plant, but not the most ideal time . The higher temps leave the ground dry even after rain. Planting in the summer requires a big commitment to watering, and you can risk losing what you’ve installed.
Q: Do we guarantee our work and our installations?
We will install only quality specimens that we acquire from the very top local / native nursery farms. We stand behind our plants and trees for sure. We will guarantee new installation for a season ( four months ) after they are installed. Long term care and maintenance ( especially watering ) of newly installed trees or plants naturally becomes the responsibility of our customers and / or their gardeners / landscape team.
